James Chambury Beach Scene – Aldeburgh

James made his own sketching boxes, and over the years they became lighter and smaller. He was a minimalist as far as sketching equipment was concerned. So this day in 1975 he was amused to come across a fellow artist who had come equipped with everything he could possibly need for a day drawing on the beach at Aldeburgh.
